Elizabeth Johnson - Registered Nurse
It is wonderful to
be back working in the community again. I am really looking forward to working along side patients, family /Whanau, G.P’s and other health and social providers. will be very satisfying using my extensive nursing experience and diabetes expertise, to provide wholistic care and support.
My goals as a registered nurse in the Long Term Conditions Whanau Ora program are to improve the wellbeing of patients with chronic health conditions. I will be covering the Northern Waikato Region of Huntly, Ngaruawahia and Hamilton. I love working with people and enabling positive, on-going partnership in health and wellness.
My clinical background covers a wide range of medical and surgical nursing in surgery, cardiac and renal care. The most recent, being in diabetes as a clinical nurse specialist , for pregnancy for 12 years. Prior to this I was the community diabetes nurse specialist for Huntly Ngaruawahia and Te Kauwhata for 8 years. I also worked, in these communities as a District Nurse and had a special interest in wound management, chronic disease management and palliative care.
I live in Huntly with my husband and look forward to serving my own community again.
