Sue Sharp - Practice Support ManagerThe role of Practice Support Manager focuses on the managerial and administrative areas of practice management, although not exclusively. Good communication, relationships and a commitment to quality practice management is essential.

First contact is usually the practice manager or administrator and my role is to support, advise and assist in practice functions such as achieving and maintaining targets, achieving and maintaining accreditation, managing HR, Med Tech, compliance and dealing with complaints. My goal is to make a difference by providing effective and timely practice support.

I have worked in the health sector for nearly twenty years, 10 years as Practice Manager at Thames Medical Centre, 8 years as Practice Liaison with Midlands Health Network supporting the Hauraki, Coromandel and Matamata practices.

 

Prior to joining Hauraki PHO I was Practice Manager at Waihi Beach Medical Centre.   During this time I have also been involved in many rural initiatives, including after hours, HML Nurse Triage Service and the Rural Advisory Group.
