Please click here for the flyer for the HIV update and respecting gender diversity study day to be held in the Bryant Education centre, Waikato Hospital on 13th October. This is a repeat of this study day which was very popular and well received last year and the year before. It is suitable for any grade of staff from HCAs and PAs to allied health and medical staff, not just RNs. This is for anyone who deals with patients and service users of any age who may be part of the rainbow community and/or who may be living with HIV.
The aim is to raise awareness of some of the issues faced by these service users as they are aging and needing to engage with healthcare and possibly long term residential care.
I would encourage you to think about sending a representative from your area who can share the learning with their colleagues.
