The New Zealand Diploma in Child Protection is NZQA (Level 5) accredited, and the only undergraduate child advocacy qualification available in New Zealand. The Diploma is intended for face-to-face teaching. If in-class training is unable to proceed due to changes in alert levels, the affected block will move online so that students may still graduate within the original time frame. COVID-19 restrictions may mean a student cannot attend the pre-requisite 5-day Child Protection Studies Programme prior to commencement of the Diploma. Child Matters is committed to helping prospective students meet the necessary requirements to enrol in the Diploma, so this may include tailored online learning sessions.
