Kia ora koutou "Advice Only" function on BPAC referrals have been given high priority so that they are logged with minimal delay and clinicians can reply to any GP query using the existing BPAC system. The query and advice given will also be logged on the CWS providing good future visibility. The secondary clinicians have been asked to prioritise these queries over other referrals. continued...
This is a semi-urgent service and we envisage the turn around to be a few days. As per usual practice - any urgent referrals should be made directly to the specialty medical officer on call and sent to emergency as clinically appropriate as per the GP referral guideline document we sent you yesterday
