The first basic diabetes education day is coming up on March 18th, and will be a repeat of last year’s programme. This is encouraged for all nurses working in primary health care. This one day is aimed at you being able to have a confident conversation regarding their long term condition irrespective of what their appointment is for, recognising an issue and escalating it as appropriate.

The first proficient education day is on the 27th May and is a different programme to last year. This means that if you attended in 2019, you can attend again and learn different information that will support your confidence in diabetes management.
Wintec level 700 paper is still the recommended option for all nurses working with whānau who have diabetes. The first semester starts soon and the workshop dates are 26th February, 11th March and 8th April.
