Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the Waikato Postgraduate Medicine Inc GP CME sessions and updates have been suspended until further notice. We are working with the Waikato DHB on an on-line solution for CME meetings that can be available for all our members.
The Waikato Skills and Simulation Centre who provide the resuscitation training and re-certification (CORE Skills courses etc) have advised these courses are suspended until 30 June. At this stage this will affect those GPs and Nurses booked on the 30 April and 14 May courses. Once 'normal' working conditions are resumed they will re-evaluate and prioritise courses.
We will update you further once this lock-down is over and we have a better idea as to the CME and resuscitation courses for the rest of 2020.
As from tomorrow (Wednesday) I will be working from home for the 'lock-down' period but will call into the office from time to time to clear emails and messages. Please email me as per usual if necessary - or if it is urgent txt me on 021-272-1951.
Stay safe and take care
