1^st December 2018 Funding – Important Information & Preparation for changes

1. MoH Bulletin Six : 23 November 2018 - Extending Access to Primary Care Services from 1 December

• VLCA Practices – Actions required

  1. Run Medtech Update
  2. Run ACC Subsidy Update
  3. Run GMS Utility  - this can be run manually after 30^th November or it will run automatically the first time anyone logs on after 1 December .
  4. Adjust ACC co-payment fees for CSC holders using the GMS Adjustment Tool

1. Medtech/Evolution Release 22.16 will be available for practices to download  29 November 2018

Note:  Backup and Restore is required before PMS is updated. As previously advised you need to ensure your IT support is available.

Due to the tight timeframe we suggest practices prepare in advance of the Medtech update.

HPHO recommends that prior to running the GMS Utility that all invoicing and claiming for November is completed at close of business on 30^th November.

Please note that the GMS Utility will automatically run on the 1^st December as detailed in the Medtech webinars.

3. GMS Adjustment Medtech32 –

A new GMS Adjustment spreadsheet, user guide, and ‘How to complete a GMS Adjustment in Medtech32’ webinar are available in the resources section of the Medtech Website.    The GMS Adjustment is for practices to assist with adjustment of their services fees for CSC and Under 14’s, and new ACC Subsidies. Please ensure all relevant tabs and fields are completed.

        5.  ACC Service & Subsidy Update – 1 December

             General Practice ACC Service and Subsidy Update Release Information

              This upgrade should be completed at close of business on the 30th November or before the first ACC related invoice is generated on or after the 1st December to ensure that your practice has the necessary ACC Service and Subsidy changes for the Community Service Card and Under 14 Zero Fees initiatives in place.

• You MUST be on Medtech 32/ Evolution Version 22.16 Build XXXX (or higher) to apply this update. 
• This update MUST be run at close of business on the 30th November or before the first ACC related invoice is generated on or after the 1^st December
• You MUST finalise all outstanding ACC Claims prior to running this update.
• This update MUST be run on the Medtech 32/ Evolution Database Server.
• Users can remain logged into Medtech 32 / Evolution while this update is being run however you must log out and back in again to see the changes applied.

           Practices are reminded that a GMS Adjustment should be completed for all service fees that are impacted by the changes in the ACC Subsidies.
