As part of HealthLink’s commitment to continual improvement of our product suite and services, we have just released a new, more secure version of the HealthLink Messaging Client. This update includes the following enhancements:
- HealthLink Messaging Client compatibility with the latest Windows and MAC operating systems;
- Support for Java 8 security enhancements
- Improved messaging directory security
- Enhance TLS in the Messaging Client and Quantum Submission services to TLS 1.2
Attached is the full list of enhancements and bug fixes in this release which can also be seen in the release notes posted on the web site, under the HealthLink Messaging Client knowledgebase section.
We have now begun updating all our messaging client installations across both Australia and New Zealand to the new version (6.7.3.3) using our automated silent upgrade which enables us to upgrade the installed and operational HealthLink client without any downtime to either the messaging service or the host that the client is installed on. We anticipate that this process will be completed by 30th August 2019.
At this time there is no action required of you and your client will be silently upgraded to the new version. This is simply a notification to advise you of the upgrade taking place. However, should you for any reason wish to manually upgrade your HealthLink Messaging client you are more than welcome to download the Client installer from the software download section of our web site. The entire upgrade process will take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete and does not require a host restart. If you do choose to manually update the HealthLink client, we would request that you look to complete this process no later than Friday 2nd of September 2019.
