Please be aware that the AMHAS Triage team is a non-urgent service.
We have had a few instances recently of requests for urgent face to face assessments within 24-48 hours. Such referrals need to be directed to the Crisis Team; a phone call from the referrer is important particularly for referrals made after hours or on weekends.
It is important to note that Triage are at critical staffing levels at present, making it even more important that urgent referrals are directed to the Crisis Team and that
primary care psychiatrists are involved where appropriate.
