Vaccines allocated to Waikato DHB should have been distributed yesterday afternoon and this morning from Propharma Hamilton. This takes our PPH Hamilton warehouse stock to zero until further stock arrives.
The National Health Coordination Centre (MOH) have now asked for a further stocktake of DHB stocks. Out logistics coordinator (David)/ Intelligence team member (Regan) will be in touch with relevant people about this shortly. Please be ready to supply the numbers of vaccines you have on hand.
52000 vaccines are now “in the air” on their way to NZ. The vaccines will be arriving at the national distribution centre (Health Care Logistics) on Sunday/Monday and should be in local warehouses by Wednesday. It is not likely that they will be available for distribution until Thursday 17th Sept, Weds afternoon if we are lucky.
On Monday (16th) the NHCC will let us know how many vaccines will be allocated to Waikato. Depending on number, it is highly likely that we may need to allocate this stock out again. I have not been told if there is another order on the way after this. Once we have plenty of stock available, then orders will go direct from clinics to Propharma again.
“Whanau packs” - patient information leaflets able to be provided to patient by doctor if measles diagnosed or suspected – will be available hopefully by this afternoon, on the Waikato DHB website. I will also send them directly to you all once available.
Any further information - please always check our Waikato DHB measles page first or feel free to contact me and I will try to assist.
